Pork ribs are always a treat, but the long process of grilling or smoking isn't always available. These easy oven baked ribs are juicy and flavourful, started on a high heat for all the crispy roasted edges you want.

For the Ribs:

2 (about 3 pounds each) racks of baby back pork ribs

3/4 teaspoon garlic salt

3/4 teaspoon onion powder

3/4 teaspoon pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon olive oil

Technique:

Preheat oven to 450 degrees and line a large rimmed baking sheet.

Dry meat with paper towels. Place meat on lined baking sheet and rub olive oil, garlic salt, onion powder, pepper and salt evenly over both sides of each rack.

Drop oven heat to 350 degrees.

Place ribs down on baking sheet meat side down and bake 1 1/2 hours (30 minutes a pound per piece of meat) flipping ribs to meat side up halfway through.

Remove ribs from oven and let rest on a cutting board 15 minutes.

Slice ribs along the bones and serve as is or with your favorite sauce.
